On Saturday night we went to the Vermont Symphony Orchestra (VSO) in Manchester, VT. It was a very nice night and we met up with Dr. Foley and his fiance, Laurie Thomas (I did not realize they were engaged... apparently it happened on a trip to Paris a few weeks ago... crazy!) The Iaconos were there and so were the Facey's. There was a fireworks display at the end of the concert which thrilled Aaron. He and Auntie Alexzndra were very enthusiastically and loudly guessing which color would come next and had everyone in ear shot laughing.
Sunday was super rainy but we managed to stay entertained in the camp by the boys. The weather cleared up just in time for the 4th of July party at Dr. Roshen Siva's lake house. We had a great time there... fabulous food, friends and a "sing-a-long DJ" (which Brad thought was cheesy but I loved!) Aaron shook his groove thing out on the patio dance floor with his new pal, Sydney Stout (she is the daughter of an old friend of mine, Jessica Mazzariello and the niece of my favorite teacher of all time, Mrs. Stevens)
We left Bomo early on Monday morning to beat the traffic and get back for the Norwood parade. We decorated Aaron's tricycle before we left for VT so it would be ready to go when we got here. It's a good thing... we made it just in the nick of time! We all walked in the parade from the Library to the center of town. There were prizes by age for the best dressed bike but we decided not to enter Aaron since it wouldn't be fair to the other children... just kidding! We completely missed the announcement for 3-4 year olds. :) Oh well... it was a lot of fun just the same.
We need a new camera... so sad! The only photos we can take now are with our iphones. Anyhow... here are the very few pictures that we did manage to snag from the weekend.
| The shortall Marcus is wearing is my very first attempt at sewing clothing... it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself! |
