Going strong...

Aaron is a potty training pro! He has consistently used his potty for 3 days! I'm starting to wonder if it's his desire to be diaper free or his love of chocolate... Hmmmm. We've had a minor accident today - what would have been 5 M&M's in the potty, found it's way to our bedroom floor! This was met with cries of "uh oh!!"
It's okay pal... accidents happen and we're so proud of how well you're doing! Mmmmuah!

Pee Pee in the Potty!
Aaron went pee pee in the potty for the first time today!!! We are so proud! He showed interest in potty training several weeks ago so we picked up an Elmo potty and rewarded him with M&M's each time he gave it a try (1 M&M for trying, 2 for actually peeing and 5 M&M's for... well, the other thing!).
We danced and sang and rewarded him with his well deserved M&M's... there were lots of "high fives" and Aaron grinned, nodded and said "tank too!".

House of Sickies
We all have yucky colds this week! There is nothing worse than being sick when the weather is nice. On the bright side... Aaron slept through the night in his own crib! He woke up at 6am saying "nosh, nosh" which would be "nose". Poor little guy was all stopped up. I hate it when he's sick but I love the snuggles! I hope he's better by Saturday when Ace and GG come down for a visit.

Updates...
It's been a crazy month in the Libertore household! We've moved from our first home in Boston. It was a bittersweet move... 310 Tappan was where Aaron had many of his "firsts". While the new place is much better in almost every sense (and baby safe!), it was sad to say goodbye. We are looking forward to making new memories at 232 Independence! Aaron loves the new backyard and has already made friends with the family next door (from Greece!).
We are nearly unpacked... the only thing left to do is hang things on the walls. It seems there just isn't enough Aaron awake time to get it done! We also want to be sure the furniture placement is conducive to 2 active toddlers.
As for Aaron - he has hit the verbal explosion!!! I think his vocabulary has tripled in the last week. I am so curious about what goes on in that beautiful little head... i can't wait for him to vocalize his thoughts! In the meantime we are loving that he says "i love you" (which actually sounds more like "I owe you"). He has all his animal sounds down (with the exception of duck which he thinks says "duck duck duck" - close enough!). He has learned to count to three by taking the stairs nice and slow... one... two... THREE!!!
What else??? Let's see... we had a new molar pop through the weekend of our move (fun!). That brings us up to 4 teeth on top and 6 on the bottom (including the two molars). He looks too cute! It's a good thing AJL is so cute because he has also started throwing mini temper tantrums. They only last 15-30 seconds but not so fun in the middle of the grocery store! I'm the worst mommy in the world for not letting him take all the cans off the bottom two shelves and roll them down the aisle!!! :)
That's all for now... more to come.

Vaseline - not a good substitute for hair gel
It was my intention to begin blogging as my New Year's resolution this year. That, like many of my New Year's resolutions, did not obviously happen. I wanted to start this blog so Aaron had a record (of sorts) of the silly, adorable and mischievous things he did as a toddler.
Yesterday's events have motivated me to start today.
Yesterday afternoon, Aaron and Katie (his babysitter's daughter and BFF) got a hold of a large jar of Vaseline. I'm not sure how they got it but I think they've been plotting for days. While Peng (babysitter extraordinaire!) was cleaning up one of their other many messes, the two mischief makers decided to dig their little hands into said jar of Vaseline and slick their hair back 50's style! They also managed to spread it all over the arm of the glider/rocker and into the pocket on the side of the chair as well as all over the bars of Aaron's crib. Needless to say, it was a mess! Any suggestions on how to get petroleum jelly out of furniture?!?! As for the hair... it may take a few days! Ahhh Aaron!
